At BACHI, we believe that the burden of ill health is the single greatest barrier to socio-economic development. Since 2008, we have worked tirelessly in Eastern and Central Uganda to ensure that health is treated as a fundamental human right rather than a privilege. However, the communities we serve—particularly in regions like Busoga and Greater Masaka—continue to face systemic challenges, from high clusters of “zero-dose” children who have never received a vaccine to rising rates of non-communicable diseases.

Bridge the Gap: Actively profile and reach over 1,500 “zero-dose” children to ensure they receive life-saving immunizations.
Break the Cycle of Poverty: Support our Technical Institute in skilling teen mothers and out-of-school youth, giving them the vocational tools to achieve economic independence.
Champion Mental Health: Provide specialized psychosocial support for youth living with chronic conditions like Type 1 Diabetes, ensuring they don’t just survive, but thrive.

System Strengthening: Investing in the training of Village Health Teams (VHTs) and professionalizing local health workers through clinical mentorship.
